I N T R O D U C T I O N
WELCOME
to Mazemaster DropThru #1. In the process
of creating over 500 mazes, I've had to really push to come up with different and unique
ways of amazing you -- by finding ways to invent mazes that are different from
the norm. This is how I developed the DropThru concept. I think you'll be at once pleased
and perplexed.
Mazes are thousands of years old and
are probably one of the oldest games known to man. The Egyptians used them to disguise
entrances to their sacred tombs, while Greeks used them in the design of their great myths.
You can see traces of mazes throughout the civilizations of the world, from Incas to the Pimas.
The mazes I create are modern manifestation of ancient times, a melding of two worlds.
The maze and labyrinth both have a very rich history.
The DropThru concept, however, is a brand-new
invention. You will travel through twenty-nine pages, each a maze within itself, all working
together in unison to create one full three-dimensional maze. Each maze will have several holes
in the page. These holes are for you to drop through to the next page. There are holes that will
dead-end after several pages, at which time you must backtrack through the previous pages to
find out where you went wrong. There are holes that will take you all the way through the
maze, to the finish on the last page. There are holes that are connecting routes so you may
move from one route to the next; and finally there are dropping points where you will begin
again on each page.
I have given you ambiguous directions on the
top of the page of each maze -- like directions you might get on the street when someone relates
the information correctly, but in their own lingo, sometimes making it quite difficult to
understand. If you follow the directions carefully, you will traverse the whole maze from
start to finish. If, perchance, you make one wrong turn, you are on your own. None of my
suggestions will work after that. You can get through this puzzling adventure with or
without my help.
Feel free to write me
and tell me how it went. Oh, by the way, certain solutions spell out secret messages
if you look closely.
Have Fun!
